Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that returns those results. Franklin Residents Directory does not keep a separate copy of those searches on its own servers. A message sent to us contains the information included in that message and is used to respond.
Automatically Collected Details
Hosting systems maintain routine server information, such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review it in aggregate for security, performance, and general readership patterns. Basic analytics and advertising measurement may use cookies or similar technology.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the service, resolve technical issues, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
Linked Services
Franklin Residents Directory links to county and Tennessee portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search functions. A linked service controls the information submitted to it under its own privacy practices. That includes sponsored results supplied by another company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and technical support providers process the server information described above. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the associated automatic information. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires disclosure and not for unrelated purposes.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and routine logs are retained only as long as the purposes described here require. Since Franklin Residents Directory offers no accounts, it does not maintain visitor passwords or user profiles.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect a minor’s personal information. If you believe a person under 18 sent information to us, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to seek access, correction, or deletion of personal information a service maintains. Because this service keeps very little, a request ordinarily involves checking the contact mailbox and available server logs, then removing information found there when appropriate. Use the Contact page to ask. Franklin, Williamson County, and Tennessee public records are controlled by their custodians, so requests about those records belong with the office that holds them.
Policy Changes
Any revision will be posted here. Continued use after a revision means the updated policy applies.
